pagsasawaang pakinggan.

Natatandaan mo anak noong bata ka pa?
kapag gusto mo ng lobo, paulit-ulit mo ‘yong sasabihin,
maghapon kang mangungulit hangga’t

Amoy matanda, amoy lupa.
Huwag mo sana akong piliting maligo.
Mahina na ang katawan ko.
Madaling magkasakit kapag nalamigan,
huwag mo sana akong pandirihan.

Natatandaan mo noong bata ka pa?
pinatyagaan kitang habulin sa ilalim ng kama
kapag ayaw mong maligo.

Kapag may konti kang panahon,
magkwentohan naman tayo, kahit sandali lang.
Inip na ako sa bahay, maghapong nag-iisa.
Walang kausap.

Pinagtyagaan kong pakinggan at intindihin

At huwag kang mag-alala,

What will you feel?

What would you do if one day you’ll know that you only have three weeks to live

I kept thinking of this question right after watching the movie “Last Holiday”.

The story is about a lady living the ordinary simple life like we all have.   She is a salesperson at New Orleans department store, works hard and doesn’t do much else. She cooks mouthwatering meals (accompanied by TV cooking show instructions), but feeds them to a young neighbor, limiting herself to frozen diet entrees. She is quietly but desperately infatuated with her co-worker, even pasting his face over magazine wedding photos she has assembled in her “Book of Possibilities,” (which might as well be called “Book of Things I Dream of Doing but Will Likely Never Actually Do.”)

Until everything changes; a bump on the head sends her to the doctor, who orders a brain scan, which reveals several mysterious tumors. A few consultations later, she received a shocking news: She has a rare disease, and has three or maybe four weeks left.  Pause for a moment of panic, moment of denial, moment of anger and then, a kind of acceptance, signaled by a trip to the bank for a massive withdrawal. She senses, it’s time to start living out that Book of Possibilities.

When she learns that her days are numbered, she embarks on a dream holiday vacation to a grand resort in Europe. There, thinking she has nothing to lose, she undergoes a metamorphosis and her transformation affects everyone around her.

After seeing this movie, I was inspired to make a “book of possibilities” (or rather another blog entry) for myself and imagine to start living the possibilities into realities but until now I can’t start creating one. And also, to change my perspective and accentuate the positive that can contribute to improve my life.

How about you, what would you do if you’ll know you only have three weeks to live?

Better In Time
by Leona Lewis

It’s been the longest winter without you
I didn’t know where to turn to
See somehow I can’t forget you
After all that we’ve been through

Going, coming thought I heard a knock
Who’s there no one
Thinking that I deserve it
Now I realise that I really didn’t know
If you didn’t notice you mean everything
Quickly I’m learning to love again
All I know is I’m a be ok

Thought I couldn’t live without you
It’s gonna hurt when it heals too, oh yeah
And it’ll all get better in time
Even though I really love you
I’m gonna smile cause I deserve to
And it’ll all get better in time

I couldn’t turn on the TV
Without something there to remind me
Was it all that easy?
To just put aside your feelings

If I’m dreaming don’t wanna laugh
Hurt my feelings but that’s the path
I believe in
And I know that time will heal it
If you didn’t notice boy you meant everything
Quickly I’m learning to love again
All i know is
I’m gon’ be OK

Thought I couldn’t live without you
It’s gonna hurt when it heals too, oh yeah
And it’ll all get better in time
Even though I really love you
I’m gonna smile cause I deserve to
And it’ll all get better in time

Since there’s no more you and me
It’s time I let you go
So I can be free
And live my life how it should be
No matter how hard it is I’ll be fine without you
Yes I will

Thought I couldn’t live without you
It’s gonna hurt when it heals too, ohhh
And it’ll all get better in time
Even though I really love you
I’m gonna smile cause I deserve to, Yes I do
And it’ll all get better in time

Thought I couldn’t live without you
It’s gonna hurt when it heals too, oh yeah
And it’ll all get better in time
Even though I really love you
I’m gonna smile cause I deserve to
And it’ll all get better in time

Little Faith + Big God = Huge Results
by Rick Warren

[The boy’s father said,] “. . . If you can do anything, do it. Have a heart and help us!” Jesus said, “If? There are no ‘ifs’ among believers. Anything can happen.” No sooner were the words out of his mouth than the father cried, “Then I believe. Help me with my doubts!”
(Mark 9:22-24, MSG)

*** *** *** ***

Is it possible to be filled with faith and doubt at the same time? Yes!

You can have faith that God wants you to do something and still be scared to death. Courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is going ahead and doing what you’re called to do in spite of your fear.

You have to begin with the faith you already have: it may be just a little, but you start there. A beautiful example of this is the story of the man who brought his sick son to Jesus in Mark 9. Jesus looked at the man and said, “I can heal your son. If you will believe, I will heal him.”

The father then makes a classic statement: “Lord, I do believe. Help me overcome my unbelief.”

Have you ever felt like that? “Lord, I have some faith. But I also have some doubts.” This man was filled with faith and doubt, yet despite his honest doubts, he went ahead and asked Jesus for a miracle. And he got his miracle – Jesus healed his son.

No matter how weak or how frail you think your faith is, it’s enough. It’s enough to get you through what you’re facing, and it’s enough to complete the vision God has planted in your heart.

Matthew 17:20 says, “If you have faith as small as the mustard seed . . . nothing will be impossible to you.” (NIV) That’s not a lot of faith; in fact, it’s just a little faith. But what else does that verse teach? “If you have faith as the mustard seed, you can say to the mountain, ‘Move’ and it will be moved.”

Mustard seed faith moves mountains. Don’t get this reversed. We like to read this verse backward. We want it to say, “If you have faith like a mountain you can move a mustard seed” – as if it takes enormous faith to do a very little task.

God wants you to start with the faith you have, and based on the example of the mustard seed, you don’t need a whole lot of faith to do great things for God. You just need a little.

What does this mean?

  • Everybody has faith – You had faith this morning when you ate your cereal – faith that your spouse didn’t put poison in your granola! You had faith when you sat down in your computer chair – faith that it wouldn’t collapse.

  • Everybody has faith; the difference is what you put your faith in – Sometimes people will say they don’t want to go to church or make a commitment to Christ until they understand it all. Believe in this trustworthy equation: Little faith + Big God = Huge results. You take your little faith, “Lord, I believe! Help me with my unbelief!” You put it in our big God, and then he’ll show you how he works out huge results.

just want to share this one.

It was fun chasing an illusion…

… it gave us the reason to be happy even if it wasn’t real.

Its just disappointing… because when the chase ended,

… We were left with nothing but a memory of something that never existed.

crying-sky.pngWe cry when our hearts could not anymore hide the pain…

Cry if you want …

that’s not  a weakness… it actually heals the wound that laughter can’t cure.
